Screen printing screen are prepared using a printed transparency, and a light sensitive film.

The kit includes the transparencies, blank EZScreens with light sensitive film, and the equipment needed to "expose" the EZScreens preparing them to print on your next project.

EZScreen screen printing stencils can be used with any number of inks to print on fabric, ceramics, glass, wood, metal and more. Checkout our Inspiration page to see the types of projects you can create with EZScreens.

To screen print on ceramics, you only need a few things.

• Screen printing screen (make them with our kit, or get a Ready-to-Use EZScreen) You will want the standard definition mesh (not HiDef)
• Glaze, underglaze, or ink, depending on what stage of ceramic you will print on
• (optional) A gel plate for transferring onto multi-curved surfaces.
• (optional) Paper transfers for transferring into difficult to reach places or depending on preference.

Screen printing on wood is fairly simple. You will need a screen printing screen that can be made using the Screen Printing Kit by EZScreen, and something to print with for example a woodburning paste or paint.

Note: If you are printing with a paste or thicker ink, go with the Standard (not HiDef) option. If you are going to print with a somewhat runny paint, you might want to try the HiDef option.

When printing on enamels, metals, windows or other surfaces, you can follow the following general guidelines:

If your ink is a paste, or a powder, you probably want the Standard option of screen.

If you are printing with something that might run, you probably want the HiDef option.

Some examples for Standard (110 Mesh) applications:

• Enameling: almost always Standard (not HiDef)
• Glass powder
• Printing with acrylic paints (especially if you have silk screen medium)

Some examples for HiDef (160 Mesh) applications:

• Printing ink/paint on glass/plastic/metal
• Electrolysis with saltwater on metal
